Become a Volunteer

how to Obtain a Clearance to become a Volunteer

Part 1

Complete the Application to Volunteer

All documents (application and all clearance documentation) should be returned to the church office.

Once the Pastor, Congregational President and Christian Education Council Representative have signed the Application to Volunteer, documents are forward to Child Protection Committee for review and recommendation for approval as a volunteer.

Volunteers are approved for a five (5) year period.   Once formal approval is granted, a letter of approval is forwarded to the volunteer.  Only AFTER receiving Committee approval may you be eligible to volunteer.

A list of names of active volunteers is maintained in the church office.  Volunteers will be listed as active and clearances will be on file for a five (5) year period after which the volunteer must renew their volunteer application and clearances.  Please understand, this is a state mandate and as such it is necessary for the church to conform to this process.
